Caring for your new Saicos Repair Wax Oil Clear 125 ml
If the floor surface has been damaged or experienced local wear, it can be repaired with 3305 or 4009.
Please note that it is not always possible to make the repair invisible, but it is always possible to make the damage/wear less visible. Follow the steps below (NB: the product is very concentrated).
1. Shake the oil well before opening. Optionally, mask off the repair area.
2. Lightly sand the area to be repaired with 150-grit sandpaper.
3. Lightly dampen the area to be treated.
4. Apply/dab 4009 to the treatment area with a sponge (e.g., the soft side of a green cleaning sponge).
5. Remove the masking. Ensure that 4009 is only applied to the area where there is a lack of white pigmentation. If the wax oil has gone slightly outside the area, it can be carefully removed or smoothed out by moving the sponge towards the centre of the repair. Allow the product to cure lightly (approx. 10 min) to see if the colour is as desired.
6. Repeat steps 4-5 if a lighter repair is desired (remember to re-mask if desired).
7. Allow the product to cure completely (approx. 3-4 hours).
8. Use a clean sponge to even out any colour differences.
9. Finish with clear wax oil 3305 by dabbing the product on with a clean sponge. Ensure the surface is smooth by lightly evening it out with the sponge.
10. Allow the product to cure completely (approx. 3-4 hours).
11. The entire plank/area can advantageously be treated with normal maintenance wax (Ecoline Wax Care) to equalize any difference in the matteness of the treated surface and the "old" surface.
