It can be difficult to choose your new dream floor, and many questions may arise before a decision is made. We have collected some of the most frequently asked questions here.
Immediately after installation, the floor must be saturated with oil. Use Trip Trap Oil Care White or Natural and follow the instructions on the container. The floor should be treated once, after which you can move into your new Wiking floor as soon as the oil has cured according to the manufacturer's instructions.
Wooden floors work in all rooms except wet rooms. However, you need to be aware of which type of wood you choose and the maintenance required for the surface to retain its good properties. The kitchen is often the heart of the home, where we spend the most time, and it also functions as a thoroughfare, which means that the wear and tear on the floor is greater than in other rooms. Therefore, you need to ensure cleaning and after-treatment more often than, for example, the bedroom.
Yes, you can. You must, of course, ensure that the heating pipes do not lie over the grooves in the plates, and then the floorboards must be installed across the heating pipes underneath to optimize heat distribution and thus uniform movement in the wood.
