Specifications and guide

REMAINING STOCK - WHILE STOCKS LAST.

Oak Select 22x185 White Hardwax Oil – light and exclusive oak flooring.

A light and timeless oak floor that combines natural beauty with uncompromising quality. The Select grading is a uniform grading of oak – chosen for its calm expression with few or no knots. The result is a harmonious floor with a clean, exclusive look, perfect for modern Nordic interiors.

The surface is treated with white hardwax oil, which lightens the wood – while also providing effective protection against dirt and wear.

With Oak Select 22x185 White Hardwax Oil, you get an exclusive and durable wooden floor where aesthetics and functionality go hand in hand.

Oak is one of the most commonly used and valued wood species for flooring – and for good reason. In addition to its classic and timeless appearance, oak is known for its high wear resistance and hardness. On the Brinell scale, which measures wood's resistance to pressure, oak typically scores around 3.5 - 3.7. This places oak as a hard wood species, suitable for both private homes and businesses where durability is required.

To ensure a functional and aesthetic floor, thus preserving the strength and visual integrity of the floor surface, this wood species will feature filling of cracks and knots with specially adapted sanding filler and/or hot melt. Likewise, fallen knots can be replaced with fresh "new" knots adapted to the wood species, so that color tone and structure are preserved.

Caring for your new wood floor

Surface treatment:
White Hardwax Oil

Care information:

How it should be treated during installation:Oak supplied by Wiking Gulve, which has been treated with hard wax oil, is generally ready for use. If the floor is in a high-traffic area (e.g., hallway or kitchen), we recommend applying Wiking Gulve Cleaning and Care Oil before use.

Wax oil treated floor:Always wash and care for your floor with products specifically developed for wax oil surfaces. We recommend using Saicos' products for ongoing maintenance. Use Ecoline Wash & Care Soap when washing the floor – always follow the instructions on the bottle.

The wax oil surface must be maintained so that it retains its good properties and stays beautiful for many years. Use Ecoline Wax Care/Care Wax for ongoing maintenance of the wax surface. Wax Care is available in both neutral/colorless and white.

Apply Wax Care to the entire surface at least once a year. However, you should expect to treat worn areas with Wax Care a couple of times a year. Depending on the traffic in the room, we recommend spot treatment, especially in hallways, around the
dining table, and generally in the kitchen.

Technical Information

Låsesystem:
before/after

Lægningsmetode:
Screwed to joists: Fastened into wooden joists with correct spacing. Suitable for new builds or renovations.
Floating installation: Can also be installed as a floating floor with glued tongue and groove. Requires a level subfloor and suitable underlayment.
Full adhesion: Glued directly to the subfloor with elastic flooring adhesive. Provides a solid and quiet solution with optimal stability and comfort.

Slidlag:
4 mm

Opbygning:
3-layer lamella construction – extra stability in all Wiking plank floors.
We work to turn quality wood into quality floors. That is why our plank floors, regardless of width and thickness, are constructed in 3 layers of wood. In the 3-layer planks, the middle layer of wood is turned crosswise, which reduces the wood's natural movements by up to 70% compared to traditional solid plank floors,
making the planks stable and dimensionally stable. The unique stability is a unique advantage when the wooden floor is laid on underfloor heating or where there are larger fluctuations in temperature and humidity, such as in holiday homes.
