Product Description

CLEARANCE SALE - WHILE STOCKS LAST.

Douglas 15x155 – classic plank flooring in beautiful softwood.
An elegant wooden floor in a classic plank width, perfect for both modern and traditional homes – a timeless expression with the same natural charm.

Douglas is a sought-after softwood known for its light color with a beautiful pink glow, its distinctive grain, and warm, natural look. The floor is delivered untreated, so you can choose exactly the surface treatment that matches your style – from white oil to matte lacquer or a more golden oil.

A Douglas floor develops a beautiful patina over time, which emphasizes the wood's natural character and gives the room personality.

Douglas is part of the softwood family and is a softer wood species. On the Brinell scale, which is used to measure the hardness of wood species, Douglas typically measures around 1.4 - 1.6, placing it below harder wood species such as oak and ash. This means that Douglas floors are more susceptible to pressure marks, scratches, and wear, especially in high-traffic areas or where shoes with hard soles are used.

Due to its grain, this wood species is also exposed to crack development in the future if you are not extra careful to saturate the surface with oil or soap after installation and before use, as well as with subsequent care and maintenance. Hairline cracks (up to 0.5 mm in width) may occur in this wood species.

To ensure a functional and aesthetic floor, preserving the strength and visual integrity of the floor surface, cracks and knots in this wood species will be filled with specially adapted sanding filler and/or hotmelt. Similarly, fallen knots can be replaced with fresh "new" knots adapted to the wood species, thus preserving color tone and structure.
