Stock items: Typically dispatched within 2-5 business days.
Not in stock: Normally delivered within 4-8 weeks, depending on production and order size, and will be stated in the order confirmation. If you wish to know a precise delivery time, we recommend that you contact us directly by phone or email – so we can provide you with a qualified estimate.

Returns of goods
We only accept returns at our address in Roslev.

If you regret a purchase, the statutory right of withdrawal only applies to the entire
delivery. It is therefore not possible to return individual packages or parts of
a complete delivery.

The goods must be in unopened packages, and the packaging must be
completely intact. We reserve the right to refuse returns that do not
meet these conditions or have not been agreed upon in advance.

Please note that we do not accept shipments sent cash on delivery.

To ensure quick processing, please include a copy of the order confirmation and

Ash Mammut Freja – wide and long planks in a calm sorting.
With an ash floor from Wiking Gulve, you get all the natural properties of a solid wood floor – in an engineered solution. Our ash floors have rounded edges, which accentuate the width of individual planks and the floor's exclusive appearance. The plank floors are made from exquisite Danish ash – a beautiful, light wood with a characteristic grain in brownish to reddish heartwood.

Ash Mammut Freja is part of Wiking Gulve's exclusive Mammut series, characterized by extra-wide and long planks, which give an elegant and luxurious look to the home.

The Freja sorting has a light, harmonious, and calm knot pattern – perfect for those who want a stylish floor with Nordic elegance. If you want a more lively expression with more distinct grain patterns and knots, you should look at our Ash Mammut Fenris.

Ash is a Nordic hardwood species, which makes it more resistant than softer wood types. At the same time, it has a unique glow and a natural play of colors, ranging from light tones to warm brownish and reddish nuances.

Your Mammut planks from Wiking Gulve are delivered untreated and must be surface-treated after installation and before use. We are, of course, available to provide good advice in this regard.

Due to the dimensions and weight of the planks, please be aware that the installation itself may be more challenging. It is crucial that the planks are surface-treated and fully saturated after installation. This ensures that the wood is protected and easier to clean. Wood is a natural material, and no two planks are alike. Therefore, there will always be a beautiful variation in color and knot patterns. We always recommend that you carefully inspect the planks during installation to ensure the desired look on the finished surface.

Ash wood is known for its high wear resistance and is one of the hardest light wood types used for flooring. On the Brinell scale, which measures wood hardness, ash typically scores around 3.6 - 3.8 – making it harder than both oak and pine. Its high hardness makes ash floors particularly resistant to pressure marks, scratches, and daily wear. Ash is therefore an excellent choice for floors in high-traffic homes, families with children, or rooms where furniture is often moved around.

To ensure a functional and aesthetic floor, thus preserving the strength and visual integrity of the floor surface, cracks and knots in this wood type will be filled with specially adapted wood filler and/or hotmelt. Similarly, fallen out knots can be replaced with fresh "new" knots adapted to the wood type, so that color tone and structure are preserved.

The wood's light color and distinct grain give a modern look and at the same time hide small scratches and dust better than dark floors. With the right treatment, an ash floor can remain beautiful for many years and maintain its bright and elegant appearance.

Caring for your new wood floor

Surface treatment:

Care information:

Your Mammoth planks are delivered untreated from Wiking Gulve and must be surface-treated after installation and before use.
The planks are sanded with grit 150 and are ready for surface treatment in the form of lye and soap, oil, or lacquer. (Please note that lye treatment will cause the wood to raise its grain, which may require fine sanding once the wood is dry)

We are, of course, available to offer advice in this regard.

Full bonding: We recommend full bonding the mammoth planks to the subfloor with elastic flooring adhesive. This method provides a solid and quiet solution with optimal stability and comfort.
Joist installation: The planks can also be installed on joists with a joist spacing of max. cc 60 cm.

Due to the dimensions and weight of the planks, please note that the installation itself may be more challenging.

Slidlag:
The wear layer is 4 mm as standard. Should the floor need to be refinished with a sanding, you should expect the wear layer to be reduced by 0.5 – 0.7 mm.

Opbygning:
With Wiking's 3-layer construction, the natural movements in the wood are reduced. The cross-lamination makes the planks significantly more dimensionally stable, so changes in your indoor climate do not have the same effect on the material compared to traditional solid floors.
