Wiking Oak Nature - Korsbæk at Bakken
Wiking Gulve was chosen as the supplier of the floors for the establishment of “Korsbæk på Bakken,” where some of the popular buildings from the series Matador have been recreated. For the architect behind the project (Trier Arkitekter), client Torben “Træsko” Pedersen, and also Lise Nørgaard, it has been important that everything was recreated in the true Matador “spirit” – meaning emphasis has been placed on the use of solid Danish materials carefully selected for the project. Wiking Gulve supplied approximately 700 m2 Danish Oak Natural, treated with natural oil. This flooring can be experienced at both “Hotel Postgaarden” and “Hos Varnæs.” In addition, we supplied a special heat-treated Pine, treated with natural oil, which is laid in “Kathrines Gaard.” The special treatment at our facility has given the floor a look that matches the varnished floors of that era.
